We started Smoke On BBQ in 2015 as a mobile unit (Then known as Blue Smoke BBQ) parked at Headwaters Outfitters in Rosman, NC. Over the years word spread through Transylvania County about our food. We found ourselves running in circles trying to keep up with demand. In the winter of 2019 we spotted the property at 585 S. Caldwell st. in Brevad, NC and the rest is history. With just 640 sq ft inside and under a half acre lot we have to do things in our own style.
Because of our dedication to fine fresh food, we do not take pre-orders. We start making your order while you're still placing it at the intercom of our drive-thru. We have each order ready in just minutes. Quantities are limited. As the day goes on we may run out of some things. Ribs go on in batches and it's possible we'll sell out of one batch before the next one is smoked to perfection. If you know about BBQ you probably know that Brisket takes more time and space than any other meat we serve. When it's gone it's gone for the day. We'll have more at 11 am the next business day. Good barbecue takes time. There's only so much room on our smoker and we keep it full and running overtime.
We do accept Bulk orders for large get-togethers but these must be placed a few days in advance so we have time to prepare accordingly. A heads up for orders of 5 pounds of meat or more is appreciated.
